Qi Haiping was born in 1957, Changchun, Jilin Province, China. After graduating in 1981, he continued his studies under Claude Eville, a French expert, before entering a postgraduate course at the Central institute of Fine Arts in Beijing which he completed in 1991.His works have been published by several national magazines, and collected by the Guangxi Museum, Hongkong University Museum, and China Art Gallery.
